Therapy Rooted in Connection

When life feels overwhelming, our relationships, including the relationship we have with ourselves, are often affected too.

You may notice more conflict, emotional distance, anxiety, grief, stress, or a growing sense of disconnection during difficult seasons of life. Sometimes, the ways people learn to cope can create distance rather than closeness.

Therapy offers a space to slow things down, better understand these patterns, and create new ways of relating with greater clarity, connection, and emotional safety.

At Connection Matters Colorado, I provide attachment-based therapy for individuals, couples, and families navigating relationship challenges, life transitions, grief, trauma, parenting stress, and emotional overwhelm. Together, we work to help you feel more grounded, supported, and connected, both within yourself and in your relationships.

Hi, I'm Kerry!

I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and periods of emotional stress or disconnection.

My clients come from many different stages of life and family experiences, but often share a desire to better understand themselves, strengthen relationships, and create more supportive ways of connecting.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in attachment science and systemic therapy. I believe people and families already carry deep strengths, even in moments of pain, disconnection, or uncertainty. My role is to help you better understand the patterns shaping your relationships, restore emotional safety, and create new ways of connecting with yourself and with one another.

Hi, I'm Kerry!

I believe every person has a story worth understanding, and that healing often begins when we feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported.

Before becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate, I earned my Doctor of Audiology degree and spent nearly three decades supporting children, adults, and families through some of life’s most significant transitions. I practiced for 16 years as a pediatric audiologist, helping families navigate hearing loss, cochlear implantation, and the many emotional and relational challenges that can accompany a medical diagnosis. Later, I spent 13 years partnering with hospitals and cochlear implant programs across North America, supporting healthcare teams committed to improving care for individuals with hearing loss and their families.

Throughout those years, one lesson remained constant: while every person’s circumstances are different, our relationships often shape how we experience life’s greatest challenges. Witnessing the resilience of so many individuals and families inspired me to become a marriage and family therapist so I could focus more deeply on helping people strengthen the relationships that sustain them.

Today, I work with individuals, couples, and families seeking greater understanding, stronger relationships, and a renewed sense of connection. My role is not to tell you who to become, but to help you better understand yourself, the people you love, and the patterns that influence your life, so that lasting change becomes possible.

Whether you’re facing a difficult season, hoping to strengthen your relationship, or simply looking for a space to better understand yourself, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
